The 2006 Holiday House Contest Results:

Thank you for all of the neighbors who decorated their homes and yards.  There were SO many to consider.  It was a very hard decision 
for the judges.  Last years' winners were not eligible to win this 
year and served as our judges... but they all had wonderful 
decorations again this year!!!!!  (Thanks for judging!)

Best Block Decoration:
71st Terrace, just east of Ward Pkwy, won last year and was not 
eligible this year but always has LOVELY snowflakes!!!  Thanks again!

There was not another complete block that decorated but the judges 
felt that two blocks had a large number of participants and deserved 
recognition for their holiday decorations.

Both blocks win $50. reimbursement for a block party in 2007.  Please 
contact Alison Baker or another Board member for details about your 
prize. (contact information is in your newsletter or on the website).

 

 NOTE:  The judges noticed that many house numbers are not visible from the street, especially in the dark.  Please take a look at your house and see if you can spot YOUR address quickly.  The contest is for fun but in a medical emergency, it might make a difference!

 Happy Holidays to all.  Enjoy those day-after sales and consider your decorations for next year!  It doesn't take expensive decorations, just some artistic talent, imagination and some holiday spirit!!!!
