Drew and Mo Sullivan 7241 Belleview |
|
This young couple are recent transplants from Washington D.C., although both grew up in the Midwest; Drew in Overland Park, KS, Mo (Maureen) in Springfield, IL. When looking for a more affordable city to settle down, they were lured west to be near favorite ski sites in Colorado and Montana. On a visit to this area, a family member showed them Brookside, reminiscent of FT. Collins, CO which they love. They instantly knew it was fate, detouring a bit south to our area where the lots and homes are larger.
They bought a lovely two-story house on Belleview, already modernized, with a nice brick patio and simple but beautiful landscaping. They feel very lucky that the house and yard really only need tweaking to add touches of their own personality. To do that, they’ve planted tulips and other plants and painted with bright colors on the first floor rooms replacing neutral colors. Drew spent three days recently painting the dining room a lovely shade of salmon in a faux finish resembling a soft suede look.
The couple are both in the publishing business; Drew a senior associate editor of Family Practice Management magazine and Mo is the managing editor of KC Weddings and Art, two niche publications of the Kansas City Star.
Drew is an avid skier and lifelong Royals fan, moving back to Kansas City just days before opening day at the K, no coincidence. Mo likes to work out, read, garden and has recently begun taking tennis lessons.
The Sullivans are curious about their house and neighborhood and would love to meet anyone who can answer some of their questions about their house. Is it true someone lived in their home for 30 plus years? Was the house always painted yellow? If you can help them with answers, or would just like to meet an interesting couple, walk down the block and introduce yourselves. They’d love it!
Welcome, Sullivans, to our neighborhood. We’re glad you’re here! |
