South KC Dumpster Day Hale Cook School Saturday, September 23rd 8:00 - 11:00
Residents of WPHA and other Kansas City MO neighborhoods nearby can drop off leaves and brush (no grass clippings) oil, paint, batteries, antifreeze and tires. ID required. No bulky items! KC will only collect those at the curb on the regular pick-up days. Our next date is Sept. 29th. |

Fall Family Fun Fest
· Bring the children to see the groundbreaking for the Waldo fountain. · Enjoy music from several groups that will perform including Calypso Blues and St. Elizabeth’s school band. · Meet Mc Gruff, KC Wolf and Junior the clown. · Try the rides, games and activities such as the climbing wall, kiddie ferris wheel, super slide, moon walk and more. · There will be funnel cakes and lots of food and beverages to enjoy. · Several neighborhood groups including WPHA will be on hand. |

All traffic must enter on Pennsylvania (from either north or south) and exit on Jefferson. Come early. The event ends when the maximum number of cars allowed by ordinance has been processed or when 11:00 comes. Workers staying past that time are not accepting more items, they’re processing or packing up what’s already been accepted. All participants are asked to bring a small donation for Harvesters, either in cash or cans. |

BUMC Pancake Breakfast
Join your neighbors at Broadway United Methodist Church for their annual fall fundraising effort, a pancake breakfast served from 7:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. The menu includes pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee.
Participants are asked, in lieu of paying for their meal, to make an appropriate size donation to Boy Scout Troop 50 who will be cooking and serving the breakfast. Please come and support this worthwhile organization, then enjoy your day at the festival. |
Waldo Falldo Pub Crawl
When you’ve worn out the kids with the activities and games, treat yourself to some grown-up fun at the annual Fall Pub Crawl. This event starts at 6:00 p.m. and involves six bars all within walking distance of 75th and Wornall: Lew’s Grill and Bar, Bobby Baker’s Lounge, Kennedy’s, Tanners, 75th Street Brewery and Waldo Bar. Tickets before 9/16 are $5, $10 that day. Your ticket gets you discounted drink specials at each bar and proceeds benefit the Waldo Fountain Fund. Visit one or all of them for cool refreshment and great food. |
