Please join your neighbors in supporting Kansas City families less fortunate, by making a contribution to Harvesters, in either cans or a check. Neighborhood volunteers will check each house in WPHA to see if a donation has been left for pickup. Please put the bag at the top of the steps or beside the front door. That makes it easier to see from the street as teams drive up and down their route, looking for donations. If your bag is missed, or if you don’t put it out in time, please drop it off at one of the houses listed below.

You may leave a check inside your bag if you weigh down the bag with something, or you can mail it to WPHA Food Drive 7441 Summit St. KCMO 64114. If you won’t be home that weekend, you can drop off donations between October 27th and November 4th at  7101 Washington,  7200 Jarboe,  7234 Terrace or 7441 Summit.

These are the items Harvesters needs most. - cans, bags or boxes only, nothing in glass - Canned vegetables, canned fruit, boxed meals such as Hamburger Helper or Pasta  Roni, canned meats or tuna, peanut butter and jelly, canned meals such as spaghetti or stews, canned soup, sugar, coffee, tea, dried beans, hot or cold cereal, tomato sauce and fruit juice. To make this event more fun and to encourage everyone to be generous, local merchants have donated prizes to be raffled off among those donating. Raffle tickets will be left at your door when your donation is picked up, one ticket for each item or dollar donated.
