We love our volunteers! They help us make good things happen around the neighborhood.
If you have a couple hours a year to donate to a worthy cause, making your neighborhood a better place to live, we could sure use you. Here are some ideas below how you might help. Beautification
Pick up trash around the neighborhood · on your own block plus one more on either side of yours · down the median of Ward Parkway from 75th Street to Gregory · along 75th Street from State Line to Ward Parkway · along 75th Street from Ward Parkway to Washington
Pull weeds · in sidewalk cracks along 75th Street from State Line to Ward Parkway · in sidewalk cracks along 75th Street from Ward Parkway to Washington · In the Terrace Island marker where Terrace and 72nd Terrace intersect · In the Madison/Belleview island where 75th Street meets Madison and Belleview
Serve on the Home of the Month team which does these things. · Observe and nominate houses/gardens that look especially nice · Interview the homeowner when they win · Write up a 250 word article and · Take a photo to submit for the newsletter
Put your house on the Spring Garden Tour · Allow families to tour your garden one day in the spring for 3 hours · Be available if you can to answer questions and accept compliments on your hard work · You will be rewarded with a $25.00 gift certificate as our “thank you”
Membership
Assist with mailing · Help prepare the September mailing announcing the annual meeting with the bill for the dues for the following year.
